Isla Espiritu Santo and Isla Partida - Part 2

Here are some more photos of our two weeks in the islands.   As always, click on the images to see a larger view.

Mikek from S/V Ayu pulling "bad Aunt Janice" in the tube, Bahia San Gabriel, Isla Espiritu Santo.

Nick and Nicole from S/V StarGazer having fun on the beach with the kids at Ensenada de La Partida.

Soccer on the beach with the Stargazers.

A table of kids, RJ and Kel with Nick and Nicole from Stargazer. These two are living the dream at age 26. Really fun couple.

S/V Stargazer rafted to S/V Explorer in Ensenda el Cardonel. Look closely and you will see Nick at the top of Explorer's mast!

RJ at Los Islotes, snorkling with the sea lions!

Sea lions coming out to take a look at us.

Kelsey, better known as "Aqua Girl"!

The arch at Los Islotes. Mel and Eric dove both sides of the arch, going through at a depth of about 30 feet.

"Hey mom, that was sooooo cool!" Can I have a sea lion as a pet?"

Middle bight of Ensenda Grande, Isla Partida. Fantasitc beach and great hiking. Watch out for rattle snakes though!

The Sulas above Ensenda Grande, Isla Partida. Can you say "Christmas Card"?

Moonrise, Ensenada El Cardonel, Isla Partida.

Mexican fishing boats also share these usually protected anchorages with the cruisers.

Sulas ashore at El Cardonel, Isla Partida.

Even with all the fun outside, most days still begin with school. Here, RJ gets in his mandatory 1/2 hour of daily reading.

Take a close look at the bow of this boat we saw anchored outside Marina Costa Baha in La Paz. Probably got damaged in Huricane Marty.

A last dinner out with the Trinities before heading our separate ways, Sulas to Seattle for the holidays, Trinity to Banderas Bay on the mainland.

Statue on the Malicon, La Paz.

Sunset over Bahia La Paz, seen from the islands.
